Certified Indirect Air Carrier by TSA (IACMS)
An Indirect Air Carrier (IAC) is authorized by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), part of Homeland Security, to engage indirectly in air transportation of property via passenger airplanes pursuant to TSA requirements. Pierson Enterprises is an airfreight forwarder, which serves the role of a shipper but does not actually operate the planes in which cargo is being shipped. We provide pick-up and delivery from the airport cargo terminals as well as handling all necessary paperwork needed for the transportation of that cargo. Indirect air carriers operate under the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in its own division called the Indirect Air Carrier Management System (IACMS). Under this system all indirect air carriers operate according to the rules and regulations put forth in chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations PART 1548 (49 C.F.R. PART 1548). The IAC management system certifies that all employees directly in contact with cargo are trained to inspect & secure any cargo and it’s facility that cargo is being held. Security background checks must be secured for all employees and Directors in Ownership.

Known Shipper Management System (KSMS)
Shippers are required prior to flight, authorization and determination of whether the shipper is a “Known Shipper” in the Known Shipper Management System to ship items on passenger aircraft. Contact us as soon as possible, as an approved KSMS ID# Form/or site visit verification paperwork is required before shipment can be made. This paperwork includes authorization for Pierson Enterprises to inspect and up-to-date information on the shippers letterhead.
